
AstraZeneca core EPS rises 21% to $2.63

AstraZeneca (NYSE:AZN) reported second-quarter core EPS of $2.63, up 21%, as oncology and rare-disease sales grew.
Core EPS beat the $2.48 consensus, while quarterly revenue rose 6% to $15.384 billion, broadly matching expectations.
“We remain confident in the strength of our pipeline and have more than twenty high-value readouts due over the next 18 months,” said AstraZeneca Chief Executive Officer Pascal Soriot.
First-half revenue reached $30.672 billion, core EPS rose 12% to $5.21, and the interim dividend increased to $1.06.
Looking ahead, AstraZeneca maintained its 2026 outlook.
Following the announcement, AstraZeneca's share price was up 1.8% at 12,905p.
Meanwhile, second-quarter oncology revenue rose 15% at constant exchange rates, while rare-disease revenue increased 8%.
The company reported six positive Phase III readouts in H1 and expects over 20 high-value readouts within 18 months.
