Artivion consolidates aortic arch portfolio with $135M Endospan acquisition
Artivion (NYSE:AORT) has finalized the acquisition of Endospan, a privately held medical technology developer specializing in endovascular aortic arch treatments.
The transaction features an upfront net purchase price of $135 million, which Artivion funded using a previously drawn $150 million delayed draw term loan.
The merger framework also includes provisions for additional performance-based financial consideration upon the achievement of specific commercial and clinical milestones.
The centerpiece of the acquisition is Endospan’s proprietary NEXUS Aortic Arch System.
The branched endovascular stent graft system achieved a major regulatory milestone in April 2026, receiving Premarket Approval (PMA) from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration.
Artivion is deeply integrated into the product's commercial footprint, having served as the exclusive distributor for the NEXUS platform across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) since 2019.
According to corporate leadership, the integration of Endospan completes Artivion's three-part aortic arch therapeutic portfolio, positioning NEXUS alongside its existing AMDS and ARCEVO LSA technologies.
The acquisition also transfers an active research pipeline of next-generation arch technologies into Artivion's structural heart and vascular business segments, allowing the company to capture direct manufacturing margins and accelerate its commercial rollout within the U.S. healthcare market.
