  • Apple executed a multiyear agreement exceeding $30 billion with Broadcom to design and manufacture custom wireless connectivity chips.
  • The transaction funds a $1.5 billion capital expenditure expansion at Broadcom's existing manufacturing plant in Colorado.
  • The domestic initiative advances ongoing corporate efforts to establish an end-to-end silicon supply chain in America.

Apple (NASDAQ:AAPL) announced a new multiyear commercial commitment with Broadcom (NASDAQ:AVGO) expected to exceed $30 billion to design and produce custom silicon components inside the United States.

The domestic manufacturing expansion marks the largest single allocation under the consumer technology firm's American Manufacturing Program since its operational launch last year.

"The cutting-edge components built in Fort Collins are essential to delivering the incredible performance and connectivity our customers expect, and we’re proud to deepen our investments in U.S.-based suppliers that share our commitment to excellence and innovation," said Apple CEO Tim Cook.

The multi-billion dollar framework enables the semiconductor supplier to execute a $1.5 billion capital expenditure program to modernize and expand its production facilities in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Following the announcement, Apple's share price was down at $309.35.

The localized factory upgrades will scale up the production of advanced radio frequency components, including specialized film bulk acoustic resonator filters, alongside alternative wireless connectivity systems.

The hardware transaction represents a core component of a broader corporate master plan to deploy $600 billion directly into the domestic United States economy over a four-year timeframe.
