Apollo (NYSE:APO) announced that its managed funds completed the acquisition of Nippon Sheet Glass, a company operating in architectural, automotive and solar glass markets, and launched a new management structure.
The acquisition adds Nippon Sheet Glass to Apollo’s investment portfolio, with the firm stating that the transaction is intended to strengthen the company’s financial foundation and support future investment compared with previous ownership arrangements.
Apollo said its funds and financial institution partners completed the transaction, while the company did not disclose the acquisition price, financing amounts or specific investment targets associated with the deal.
Nippon Sheet Glass produces glass products for architectural, automotive and solar applications, serving multiple industrial markets through its global operations.
Apollo invests across private equity, credit, real assets and other strategies, and the firm stated that it plans to use its experience in glass, automotive and manufacturing investments to support Nippon Sheet Glass alongside its management team.
