APi Group (NYSE:APG) today announced a major step in its international growth strategy, entering into a definitive agreement to acquire Wtech Fire Group.
The acquisition of the Ireland-based fire protection specialist is expected to close in the second half of 2026, pending customary regulatory approvals and closing conditions.
Wtech is a comprehensive provider of fire detection, suppression, and sprinkler solutions with a deep-rooted presence in key European markets.
Headquartered in Ireland, the firm serves a diverse client base across the United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, and the Nordic region.
By integrating Wtech’s regional expertise, APi Group significantly enhances its ability to deliver end-to-end fire and life safety solutions on a continental scale.
The acquisition is a strategic "bolt-on" that aligns with APi's focus on high-margin, recurring service revenue within the life safety sector.
Wtech is projected to contribute approximately $175 million in annual revenue to APi’s international segment.
Management noted that Wtech’s margin profile is consistent with APi’s existing international operations, ensuring the deal is accretive to the company’s long-term financial targets.
