Alcon (NYSE:ALC) reported second-quarter 2026 net sales of $2.78 billion, up 8% year over year, while core diluted EPS reached $0.84.
Sales rose from $2.58 billion and core EPS increased from $0.76, while core operating margin expanded to 20.6% from 19.1%.
GAAP EPS fell to $0.00 after a $402 million pre-tax PowerVision charge, while Alcon raised core EPS growth guidance to 12%–15%.
Following the announcement, Alcon's share price was up 2.2% at $75.22.
Surgical sales rose 8% to $1.57 billion, led by 26% equipment growth, while Vision Care revenue increased 8% to $1.21 billion.
Alcon returned $538 million to shareholders during the first half and now expects a $40–$90 million full-year tariff impact after an anticipated $60 million U.S. refund.
