  • The $10 million framework is not guaranteed revenue and depends on future licensing milestones and agreements.

Ainos (NASDAQ:AIMD) announced that it has entered into a VELDONA license agreement with BioPhoenix, establishing a conditional collaboration framework with a potential value of up to $10 million.

Under the agreement, BioPhoenix receives an exclusive worldwide license to develop and commercialize VELDONA for Sjögren’s disease and thrombocytopenia indications.

The collaboration includes an initial payment, potential consideration linked to the completion of 15 additional indication licenses under separate agreements, and a one-time payment following BioPhoenix’s first third-party sublicense.

Ainos emphasized that the $10 million framework does not represent guaranteed revenue.

Following the announcement the Ainos share price was unavailable at the time of reporting.

BioPhoenix will be responsible for funding and conducting assigned clinical and regulatory activities for the two initial indications.

Ainos will retain ownership of its existing VELDONA platform and will receive 25% of applicable net sublicensing revenue generated under BioPhoenix’s sublicensing activities.

The agreement also allows for additional potential economic opportunities outside the $10 million framework, including BioPhoenix-funded development activities, possible product supply revenue, and future revenue-sharing arrangements.

Neither company is obligated to complete all 15 potential additional indication licenses.
