AerCap Holdings (NYSE:AER) signed lease agreements with China Southern Group for three Boeing 777-300ERSF converted freighter aircraft to support the airline’s cargo operations.
The aircraft, known as “The Big Twin,” are passenger-to-freighter conversions designed for long-haul cargo transportation.
The first Boeing 777-300ERSF freighter is scheduled for delivery in October 2027, followed by the second aircraft in the first quarter of 2028 and the third in the second quarter of 2028.
The aircraft will support China Southern’s intercontinental cargo expansion strategy as the airline develops its international freight capacity.
The Boeing 777-300ERSF conversion program provides airlines with larger cargo capacity options by converting existing passenger aircraft into dedicated freighters.
