AECOM (NYSE:ACM), a global leader in infrastructure consulting, announced today its selection for a pivotal role in the U.S. Missile Defense Agency’s (MDA) Scalable Homeland Innovative Enterprise Layered Defense (SHIELD) program.

The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) contract features a staggering $151 billion ceiling, representing one of the largest and most ambitious defense infrastructure modernizations in recent history.

The SHIELD contract is designed to provide the MDA with a flexible and rapid vehicle for delivering innovative capabilities.

By utilizing a "scalable" and "layered" approach, the program aims to bolster operational readiness and increase the agility of the nation's critical defense networks.

AECOM’s involvement will span a full spectrum of professional services, including planning, high-end design, and construction management for mission-critical facilities that house advanced missile defense technologies.
