A2Z Cust2Mate Solutions (NASDAQ:AZ) has reached a definitive five-year strategic agreement with Carrefour Israel to deploy 4,000 smart shopping carts, marking one of the largest commercial rollouts of AI-powered retail technology to date.

The deal, valued at approximately $50 million, covers the end-to-end delivery of the smart carts, integrated charging infrastructure, advanced software systems, and long-term technical support.

The phased rollout is scheduled to commence in the third quarter of 2026, initially targeting six Carrefour Israel flagship stores.

As part of the governance framework, both companies have committed to finalizing a detailed Service Level Agreement (SLA) by May 30, 2026, to establish key performance indicators for the platform.

A cornerstone of the agreement is its high-margin, recurring revenue model.

Beyond the hardware deployment, Carrefour Israel has granted A2Z Cust2Mate exclusive retail media and data monetization rights across the smart cart platform.

This allows A2Z to leverage real-time shopper data to serve personalized advertisements and promotions directly on the carts' 13.3-inch touchscreens, tapping into the rapidly growing $170 billion global retail media market.
