  • ZetaChain’s Proposal 68 has received 99.4% support for moving ZETA to Solana.
  • The vote has cleared the required 40% quorum, with participation reaching 58%.
  • A second vote must still approve the migration timetable, token claims, exchange coordination and ZetaChain’s eventual Layer 1 shutdown.

ZetaChain’s Proposal 68 has received 99.4% support for migrating ZETA (CRYPTO:ZETA) to Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), bringing the network closer to leaving its own Layer 1.

The vote has already cleared the required 40% quorum, with participation reaching 58% before voting closes at 14:58:18 UTC on September 20.

ZetaChain has described the migration as a move towards making Solana the canonical network for ZETA, while its own Layer 1 would eventually be shut down.

Under Proposal 68, ZETA would become a native Solana SPL token through a 1:1 conversion without creating additional supply, while existing vesting schedules would continue.

The current vote does not immediately move ZETA or stop ZetaChain, as a second proposal must set the balance snapshot, claim process, exchange arrangements, withdrawal window and Layer 1 shutdown schedule.

ZetaChain has also linked the migration to Anuma, its private AI application, which it says has attracted more than 300,000 users since February and processed more than one million requests across 35 AI models.

The proposed move would leave Solana validators securing native ZETA after the ZetaChain Layer 1 shuts down, while ZetaChain has cited transaction speed, lower costs, liquidity and AI-agent infrastructure as reasons for the migration.

At the time of reporting, ZetaChain price was $0.03982.
