Zero Hash has submitted a second application for a US national trust bank charter after its first filing was returned.

The Office of the Comptroller of the Currency returned the first application on July 17 after receiving it in March.

“We have since decided to take a sequenced approach to the authorization of services,” a company spokesperson told CoinDesk.

The new application seeks a more focused approval for national trust activities, according to the company.

Public comments on the new application are open until September 17, while the OCC reviews the filing.

The first application covered digital asset custody, staking, trade execution, stablecoin management and settlement services.

Zero Hash already operates as a state-chartered trust bank and provides crypto infrastructure for firms including Morgan Stanley and Stripe.
