Brad Garlinghouse said XRP remains differentiated from other digital assets because of its transaction speed, low fees and payment-focused infrastructure.

Speaking during an “XRP in a Minute” segment at XRP Las Vegas, Garlinghouse said XRP Ledger was originally designed to improve payment efficiency through near-instant settlement and low operational costs.

“What makes XRP so unique is its speed… its cost… and it’s scalability,”

Garlinghouse said, citing settlement times of roughly three to five seconds and transaction costs measured in fractions of a penny.

The Ripple chief executive also pointed to XRP Ledger’s operating history and scalability, noting the network has processed more than 4 billion transactions since launch.

Ripple has increasingly positioned XRP as a central component of its broader payments and institutional finance strategy, including cross-border settlement, liquidity management and tokenised financial infrastructure.

Garlinghouse said XRP Ledger’s long-term community support and network resilience continue distinguishing the ecosystem within the broader cryptocurrency sector.

“You have something special and unique that is poised for great success in the years ahead,”

Garlinghouse added during the event.

At the time of reporting, XRP price was $1.39.
