XRP rebounds after 22% June decline

XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) declined 22.1% during June before rebounding from a low of about US$1.00 to trade near US$1.15, with the recovery following a period of broader weakness across cryptocurrency markets.

The June decline coincided with heightened geopolitical tensions and weaker market sentiment, pushing XRP to its lowest level since late 2024 and moving it below USD Coin (CRYPTO:USDC), BNB (CRYPTO:BNB), Tether (CRYPTO:USDT), Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) and Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) by market capitalisation.

Historical market data shows XRP has recorded positive returns in each of the past six Julys, including gains of 48.1% in 2020, 47.6% in 2023 and 35% in 2025.

XRP has already gained about 9% during the opening days of July 2026, although earlier history shows the token posted negative July returns between 2015 and 2019, indicating past performance has not been consistent across all market cycles.

Market participants are also monitoring continued inflows into spot XRP exchange-traded funds, which recently recorded a ninth consecutive week of net inflows, while XRP's price remained near US$1.15 at the time of writing.

The rebound has restored some investor confidence after June's sell-off, although future price performance will depend on broader market conditions and whether demand for XRP continues to strengthen.

The combination of historical seasonal strength, exchange-traded fund inflows and improving market sentiment has increased attention on XRP's performance during July, but these factors do not guarantee similar returns this year.
