  • World has launched a World ID suite targeting identity fraud across banking and financial services.
  • The suite includes World ID for Zoom, World ID for Agents and tools for verifying human identity.
  • Initial design partners include Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital and VanEck Funds.

World launched its banking and finance identity suite on 18 October, targeting AI-driven impersonation across financial services.

The suite combines the World ID app, World ID for Zoom and World ID for Agents.

“As AI becomes increasingly prevalent in all aspects of our lives, enterprises are requesting individuals provide 'Proofs' about themselves to help mitigate fraud and increase trust,” Tools for Humanity President Sandro Herbig said in the release.

World ID for Zoom is generally available, allowing participants to verify human identity during video calls.

World ID for Agents lets users delegate identity proofs to AI agents for presentation to third-party platforms.

World named Bain Capital, OpenExchange, Outtake, Pantera Capital and VanEck Funds as initial design partners.

Deloitte estimates US AI-enabled fraud losses could rise from $12.3 billion in 2023 to $40 billion by 2027.

Following the update, WLD was trading down 0.5% at $0.4909.
