US government moves seized Bitcoin again
- The US government moved a small amount of Bitcoin seized from Alameda Research.
- Arkham did not disclose the amount or confirm a sale.
- The transfer adds to several movements of Alameda-linked assets in 2026.
The US government moved a small amount of Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) seized from Alameda Research accounts on Binance.US.
Arkham Intelligence reported the transfer on August 26, but did not disclose the amount or receiving address.
“The US Government just moved a small amount of Bitcoin that had been seized from Alameda accounts on Binance US, 3 years ago,” Arkham said.
The transfer does not confirm a sale because blockchain movements can reflect custody or asset management.
US government wallets previously moved about US$1.89 million in Alameda-linked tokens to Coinbase Prime in May.
Another transfer moved nearly US$984,000 in FTX and Alameda-linked crypto in June, with at least US$768,000 going to Coinbase Prime.
The latest Bitcoin movement remains unconfirmed in purpose, while seized assets continue moving through FTX recovery and federal forfeiture processes.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $78,921.74.
