Uphold has launched Vault Inheritance for Bitcoin (BTC), XRP (XRP) and Hedera (HBAR) holdings.

The feature lets users designate beneficiaries through their Uphold Vault dashboard.

“Crypto has become a real part of how people build their financial future, but unlike traditional assets, there are few ways to pass it on securely — especially for XRP holders,” according to Uphold President of Consumer Nancy Beaton.

Uphold estimates nearly 4 million BTC, worth about $331 billion, could be stranded.

Beneficiaries must provide legal documents before Uphold transfers control of the assets.

The assets remain inaccessible until Uphold approves the beneficiary’s claim.

Vault Inheritance costs $19.99 monthly, while US users receive a free 30-day trial.

The feature gives Uphold Vault users a way to transfer supported crypto assets to designated beneficiaries.
