Uniswap (CRYPTO:UNI) announced that its DualPool hook has completed auditing, is now open source and is ready for implementation by developers.

The release follows earlier testing of the DualPool hook and allows development teams to deploy their own versions to earn returns from both active and idle assets held in liquidity pools.

"DualPool hook is audited, open source, and ready to implement," said Uniswap in its announcement.

The protocol said the hook can keep idle assets in ERC-4626 vaults while making liquidity available for swaps when required, with any future adoption depending on developers choosing to deploy the technology.

DualPool is designed for Uniswap v4 and aims to improve capital efficiency by allowing liquidity providers to earn returns on assets that would otherwise remain unused between trades.

Uniswap has continued expanding the capabilities of its v4 protocol through modular hooks that allow developers to customise liquidity pools with additional on-chain functionality.

At the time of reporting, Uniswap price was $3.87.
