Trust Wallet has integrated Robinhood Chain into its mobile application and browser extension, allowing users to manage self-custodied assets on the Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH)-compatible Layer-2 network.
The integration enables users to send, receive, store and swap digital assets on Robinhood Chain, which processes transactions off the Ethereum mainnet to reduce congestion, lower transaction fees and improve settlement speeds.
“While we’re building Robinhood Chain to be the best chain for RWA … it works great for memes too,” said Robinhood Chief Executive Officer Vlad Tenev.
Trust Wallet said the integration expands its multi-chain support and gives users access to Robinhood Chain's infrastructure for cryptocurrencies, tokenised real-world assets and onchain financial applications while retaining control of their private keys.
Trust Wallet said users must update to the latest version of the application to access Robinhood Chain features, and because neither Trust Wallet nor Robinhood announced a financial impact on a listed company, there was no share price reaction.
Robinhood Chain is an Ethereum-compatible Layer-2 network that batches transactions before submitting them to Ethereum, allowing lower fees and faster confirmations than the main network.
Trust Wallet said the integration forms part of a broader rollout and indicated that additional campaigns with Robinhood are planned in the future.
At the time of reporting, Ethereum price was $1,725.71.
