Trump family denies exit from World Liberty Financial

World Liberty Financial said the Trump family remains actively involved in the crypto company after rumours circulated online suggesting the family had quietly exited the project.

Speaking at the Consensus 2026 conference in Miami, Donald Trump Jr. dismissed speculation that he and his brother Eric Trump had abandoned the firm following changes to the company’s website.

“I don’t think I’d be on this stage here if that was the case,”

Trump Jr. said during the panel discussion.

World Liberty co-founder Zach Witkoff added that, “As far as I’m aware, Don and Eric are still very much co-founders of the project.”

The company also used the appearance to discuss its ongoing legal dispute with Justin Sun after World Liberty filed a defamation lawsuit against the crypto entrepreneur earlier this week.

World Liberty alleges that Sun publicly spread false claims about the company while secretly shorting the firm’s WLFI token in an attempt to drive down its price.

“We wouldn’t have filed the lawsuit if we didn’t have the receipts,”

Witkoff said, describing the legal action as a “last resort.”

Witkoff also said the company was in the “final stages” of receiving conditional approval for a national trust bank charter, which would allow World Liberty to handle banking functions tied to its USD1 stablecoin operations.

At the time of reporting, World Liberty Financial price was $0.07427.
