Donald Trump urged Congress to pass the Clarity Act during a White House crypto meeting on Wednesday.

The bill would set federal rules for digital assets and clarify SEC and CFTC powers.

“We need Congress to take the next step and pass the Clarity Act,” Trump said.

The Clarity Act could return to the Senate in September after lawmakers skipped a procedural vote.

Republicans still need about six Democratic votes to reach the Senate’s 60-vote threshold.

Trump also said CFTC Chair Michael Selig is working to bring Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE) into the US legally.

The meeting followed new SEC proposals that could exempt some token offerings from securities rules.

At the time of reporting, Hyperliquid price was $70.78.
