  • A 14.175 billion-token World Liberty Financial allocation matching Donald Trump's disclosed stake has entered a vesting contract.
  • The tokens face a two-year cliff, delaying the first potential unlock until May 2028.
  • The arrangement has followed a 10% burn and comes as Congress debates crypto ethics rules.

A 14.175 billion-token World Liberty Financial (CRYPTO:WLFI) allocation matching Donald Trump's disclosed stake has entered a vesting contract.

The contract has replaced an indefinite lockup with a two-year cliff followed by three years of token releases.

Six insider wallets have moved 30 billion WLFI into the contract, with 10% of those tokens destroyed when they entered.

The tokens have not become immediately sellable, and the first potential unlock has been set for May 2028.

The vesting change has come as Congress has considered stricter rules for senior officials holding significant crypto interests.

World Liberty Financial has reduced total supply to 96.7 billion WLFI from its original 100 billion token cap, while the bill remains subject to a 60-vote Senate hurdle.

At the time of reporting, World Liberty Financial price was $0.05776.
