Stellar RWA market tops $3B
- Stellar’s tokenised real-world asset market grew from $785 million to more than $3 billion.
- Only slightly more than $2 million of RWAs entered eligible Blend lending pools.
- RedStone said reliable pricing could help more tokenised assets enter DeFi.
Stellar’s tokenised real-world asset market grew from $785 million in January to more than $3 billion in July.
The market expanded almost fourfold, driven by tokenised funds, US Treasury products and corporate credit.
“Listing a real-world asset as collateral works best if we can price it reliably around the clock,” said Templar Protocol co-founder Royal Fool.
Stellar’s DeFi market was worth about $259 million, while Blend held roughly $127 million in total value locked.
However, Blend pools that accept real-world assets held only slightly more than $2 million.
RedStone said Stellar’s SEP-40 standard supports price feeds for 55 assets, including Treasuries, corporate credit and tokenised gold.
The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation plans to add tokenised US assets to Stellar in the first half of 2027.
At the time of reporting, Stellar price was $0.1873.
