Starknet experienced fresh mainnet downtime as engineers investigated the cause of the disruption.

Actively investigating the issue and working to restore full functionality as quickly as possible.

The Starknet team said.

The outage lasted for more than two hours at the time of reporting, with no immediate root cause disclosed.

Starknet operates as an Ethereum layer-2 network using zero-knowledge rollups to batch transactions offchain

The network supports decentralised finance, gaming applications and emerging Bitcoin DeFi use cases.

Despite the disruption, the STRK token price remained largely unchanged during the incident.

The outage follows multiple reliability issues that affected Starknet throughout 2025.

A major upgrade in September 2025 caused a prolonged halt in block production and required chain reorganisations.

That incident forced users to resubmit transactions after roughly an hour of activity was reverted.

Earlier in 2025, Starknet also faced multi-hour downtime linked to sequencer failures.

The team previously said it would introduce architectural changes and enhanced monitoring following past outages.

A Starknet representative said efforts were underway to resolve the latest incident.

At the time of reporting, Starknet price was $0.0905.
