A solo Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) miner earned about US$200,000 after successfully solving Bitcoin block 960,804 through CKPool.

The miner received 3.15689830 BTC, including the 3.125 BTC block subsidy and roughly 0.032 BTC in transaction fees.

“Congratulations to miner bc1qdyqjq9qccp34pyv3kxmsrkn7p0amnsqqy8kdeq,” said pseudonymous CKPool developer Dr -ck.

The block contained 4,243 transactions, while the miner's hashrate reportedly peaked at 100 petahashes per second.

Dr -ck said the miner's changing hashrate was probably rented, although the report did not identify the miner.

The winning miner produced the 317th solo block found through CKPool, which charges a 2% fee on successful blocks.

Bitcoin's mining reward remains 3.125 BTC until the next halving, expected around spring 2028 at block 1,050,000.
