Solana reaches XRP Ledger DEX with warning
• Solana is now tradable on the XRP Ledger’s native DEX through an Axelar-issued asset.
• The wrapped asset is available through XPMarket, First Ledger, Magnetic and Xaman.
• XRP Ledger Foundation director Hussein Zangana warned users about fake SOL assets.
Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) is now accessible on the XRP (CRYPTO:XRP) Ledger’s native DEX through a wrapped asset issued by Axelar.
The asset can be traded through XPMarket, First Ledger and Magnetic, while Xaman supports it through its swap interface.
The wrapped SOL asset represents Solana exposure on the XRP Ledger and is not native SOL issued by the network.
XRPL assets are identified by their currency code and issuer account, meaning different assets can use the same ticker.
Axelar connected Solana to its interoperability network on 3 June, enabling transfers across more than 70 supported ecosystems, including the XRP Ledger.
The rollout could expand trading between the two ecosystems, while users are advised to verify the issuer address before trading or creating a trust line.
