Solana buy signal revives US$90 price target

Solana (CRYPTO:SOL) generated its first three-day SuperTrend buy signal since October 2025, signalling a potential shift in market structure after months of sustained downward pressure.

The latest signal follows a prolonged correction that began after the previous SuperTrend sell signal, with the recovery prompting traders to reassess Solana's medium-term outlook as buyers regained key support levels.

Binance derivatives data showed 65.45% of tracked top trader accounts held long positions compared with 34.55% holding short positions, producing a long-to-short ratio of 1.89 and indicating continued preference for bullish exposure.

Derivatives markets also reflected improving sentiment, with the open interest-weighted funding rate remaining positive at 0.0027%, suggesting traders continued paying to maintain leveraged long positions without indicating excessive speculation.

Solana traded near the US$84 resistance level after recovering from June lows around US$60, while analysts said a decisive move above US$84 could expose the next resistance near US$90, although SOL's market price was not materially affected following the latest technical signals.

The token's daily Relative Strength Index reached 61.20, remaining above the neutral level, while buyers continued defending higher lows despite recent hesitation below resistance.

The combination of a SuperTrend buy signal, positive funding rates and bullish derivatives positioning suggests improving market sentiment, although analysts said confirmation of a sustained breakout will depend on whether Solana can establish support above US$84.
