
Smaller memecoins gain as crypto rally spreads

The latest crypto rally has spread into smaller dog and cat-themed memecoins, according to CoinDesk.
Cash Cat rose about 51% in 24 hours to $0.218 and gained more than 113% over seven days.
Thinking Cat gained 131% over seven days, while Purr rose 93% and Popcat gained 54%.
Dog (CRYPTO:DOG) nearly doubled over the week, while dogwifhat, Bonk and Floki gained 64%, 47% and 40%.
Dogecoin (CRYPTO:DOGE) rose about 32% over seven days, while Shiba Inu (CRYPTO:SHIB) gained about 30%.
CoinDesk said smaller memecoins can experience larger price swings because their markets have thinner liquidity.
The Crypto Fear & Greed Index reached about 75, up from roughly 30 a week earlier, indicating stronger speculative appetite.
