  • Securitize has launched tokenised US equities on Solana, expanding access to blockchain-based stock trading.
  • The initial offering covers 12 companies, with tokens backed one-to-one by underlying shares.
  • The platform targets eligible investors in permitted jurisdictions through on-chain trading infrastructure.

Securitize Inc (NYSE) has launched Securitize Stocks on Solana, offering eligible investors tokenised exposure to 12 US-listed companies through tokens backed by underlying shares.

The initial offering includes shares linked to Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Alphabet, Tesla, Meta, Amazon and five other companies.

“Tokenized stocks should give investors more than a price on a wrapper that tracks a stock and is only offered offshore,” Securitize Chairman and Chief Executive Carlos Domingo said in a statement.

Each token represents a security entitlement backed one-to-one by an underlying share, including applicable economic benefits and investor rights.

The tokens trade through Securitize’s registered broker-dealer platform, with transactions settling in USDC (USDC) on Solana (SOL).

The launch also sets out a route for investors to convert eligible entitlements into direct share ownership through transfer-agent arrangements.

Securitize said the offering will initially trade during extended hours, with plans to move towards round-the-clock access, subject to applicable restrictions.

Following the announcement, Securitize (NYSE:SECZ) shares closed up 11.05% at $12.66.
