SCRYPT has partnered with Gauntlet to launch Swiss-licensed access to risk-managed decentralised finance strategies for institutional investors.

The partnership will make Gauntlet’s onchain vault strategies, which manage more than $1.5 billion in DeFi assets, available through SCRYPT’s regulated portfolio management framework.

“The demand for institutional DeFi is real – what’s been missing is a reliable way in,”

Said SCRYPT founder and chief executive, Norman Wooding, adding that the collaboration brings “Traditional Finance standards to DeFi innovation.”

SCRYPT said the offering provides banks, funds and professional investors with compliant, auditable access to DeFi yield markets built on bank-grade security and custody infrastructure.

Gauntlet, which specialises in quantitative risk and optimisation models, said the partnership creates a scalable and compliant channel for European institutions to access DeFi strategies.

“Together we are providing a seamless, compliant, and scalable conduit for major European institutions to access superior, risk-managed DeFi yield strategies,”

Said Rahul Goyal, head of institutional partnerships at Gauntlet.

The launch comes as total value locked in DeFi reached about $103.8 billion in early February, highlighting growing institutional interest despite ongoing regulatory and infrastructure barriers.
