The tokenised security will represent shares in a listed Japanese company and will be issued under Japan's existing financial regulations.
SBI said the project will use Solana's blockchain to improve the trading and management of tokenised securities while remaining compliant with local regulations.
The launch supports SBI's broader strategy to expand digital securities and connect traditional financial markets with blockchain technology.
