- Satsuma Technology will sell its remaining 668 Bitcoin worth about US$43.5 million.
- More than 90% of shareholders backed plans to liquidate the company and leave the London Stock Exchange.
- The decision ends the UK's Bitcoin treasury experiment less than a year after it raised £163.6 million.
Satsuma Technology has won shareholder approval to sell its remaining 668 Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC), worth about US$43.5 million, after more than 90% of investors backed plans to wind up the company.
The vote marks a dramatic turnaround for the UK-listed company, which raised £163.6 million in August 2025 to build a corporate Bitcoin treasury.
Satsuma expects to return between £26.8 million and £30 million to shareholders after paying about £2.7 million in closure costs.
Convertible noteholders will receive payments before ordinary shareholders under the company's repayment rules.
The company will now seek court approval before returning capital and cancelling its London Stock Exchange listing, while its shares remain suspended.
Satsuma started as AI company TAO Alpha before rebranding in 2025 and shifting its focus to a Bitcoin treasury strategy led by chief Bitcoin strategist Mark Moss.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $66,303.25.
