Ripple (private) has invested in Notabene to integrate Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD) into a payments network that processes more than US$2 trillion in annual transaction volume.
The investment expands Ripple's institutional payments business as it continues building regulated infrastructure for stablecoin transactions.
“Institutions are moving beyond asking whether they should use stablecoins to asking how they can use them safely and at scale,” said Notabene Chief Executive Officer Pelle Braendgaard.
Notabene will add RLUSD to its Flow platform, and Ripple said the companies will also explore payment authorisation services for Ripple Payments.
Notabene connects more than 2,300 financial institutions across more than 100 countries through its compliance and payment network.
Ripple has expanded RLUSD through regulated partnerships as it continues developing its cross-border payments business.
