Ripple burns another 10M RLUSD
- Ripple has burned another 10 million RLUSD stablecoins.
- The token burn is part of Ripple's supply management process.
- RLUSD remains fully backed despite the reduction in circulating supply.
Ripple has burned another 10 million Ripple USD (CRYPTO:RLUSD) tokens as part of its stablecoin supply management process.
Blockchain data showed the tokens were removed from circulation through Ripple's authorised burn mechanism.
Ripple has regularly minted and burned RLUSD to match customer demand and maintain the stablecoin's circulating supply.
The latest burn does not affect RLUSD's backing, as each token is supported by cash and cash-equivalent reserves.
Ripple adjusts RLUSD's supply by minting new tokens when demand rises and burning tokens when they are no longer needed.
RLUSD is Ripple's US dollar-backed stablecoin and is designed for payments, trading and other digital asset transactions.
The company continues expanding RLUSD alongside its broader digital payments business and blockchain services.
