RedotPay has stopped issuing physical and virtual crypto cards to new users in South Korea.

The company ended its Korean affiliate and influencer referral programmes on September 7.

RedotPay has not publicly explained why it stopped new card applications in the country.

The move follows an earlier pullback in May 2025, when RedotPay halted new physical card issuance in South Korea.

Virtual cards remained available after that earlier change, but new applications are now unavailable for both card types.

RedotPay users can fund cards with Tether (CRYPTO:USDT) and spend through Visa merchants, including through mobile wallets.

South Korea plans to introduce taxation on virtual asset gains in 2027, adding regulatory pressure around crypto spending and offshore payment services.
