
QuFi launches post-quantum Bitcoin security platform
- QuFi has launched a platform designed to protect digital asset transactions from future quantum threats.
- Its first proof of concept is running on Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) Testnet4.
- The system verifies transactions before settlement without changing existing blockchain networks.
QuFi Network has launched a post-quantum verification platform for digital asset transactions.
The platform uses a separate verification layer before transactions settle on existing blockchains.
Its first proof of concept, uBTC, is running on Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) Testnet4 and tests the system with Bitcoin collateral.
The platform uses three post-quantum standards: ML-DSA-65, SLH-DSA and ML-KEM-1024.
QuFi says its approach could reduce the storage, bandwidth and computing demands of adding larger post-quantum signatures directly to blockchains.
QuFi also opened its Genesis Node Program to build a decentralised network of verification nodes, while no share price applies because QuFi is not a publicly listed company.
The launch comes as blockchain developers explore ways to protect networks from future quantum computers, with Bitcoin developers also examining new post-quantum signature designs.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $79,717.71.
