Ondo Finance (CRYPTO:ONDO) climbed 15% after announcing a partnership with SBI Group to expand tokenised financial products in Japan.

The companies said they will work together to support tokenisation as demand for blockchain-based financial assets grows.

"This collaboration marks an important step in bringing institutional-grade tokenised assets to Japan," the companies said.

SBI Group said the partnership will combine its financial network with Ondo's tokenisation technology to develop regulated digital asset products.

The companies said the agreement supports their long-term strategy to expand tokenised finance in one of Asia's largest financial markets.

Ondo has focused on tokenising traditional financial assets, while SBI has continued investing in blockchain and digital asset businesses.

The announcement adds to growing institutional interest in tokenisation as financial firms move more real-world assets onto blockchain networks.

At the time of reporting, Ondo price was $0.3637.
