Nubank has listed 28 digital assets for more than 7 million users in Brazil.

Brazil recorded R$505.5 billion in crypto transactions during 2025, up 22% from 2024.

“In a conservative sector, as the banking sector is, regulation makes institutions more secure to launch their products,” said Syscapital co-founder Carlos Akira Sato.

Itaú offers 15 assets, while Banco do Brasil has processed more than R$11 million since January.

Brazilian banks reported no virtual assets on their own balance sheets in March, while the source reported no share-price reaction to the expansion.

Brazil’s crypto rules now require service providers to obtain licences, maintain minimum capital and separate customer assets.

Around 120 crypto firms must meet Brazil’s licensing requirements by October 30, 2026, as new capital and risk rules begin taking effect in 2027.
