Moon Pursuit Capital says professional crypto investors should favour systematic strategies over predicting Federal Reserve policy.
Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) gained 22.1% over seven days and briefly moved above $80,000.
“Jackson Hole matters for digital assets because Fed expectations continue to influence liquidity and risk appetite across markets,” said Moon Pursuit Capital Principal Courtney Olujobi.
Olujobi said about 13% of circulating Bitcoin is actively available for trading, based on the firm's estimate.
He said systematic strategies can reduce reliance on Bitcoin's direction, although market-neutral strategies can limit gains during strong rallies.
The US spot Bitcoin ETFs received about $1.9 billion during the week ending August 21, according to the report.
The Federal Reserve's Jackson Hole meeting runs from August 27 to August 29, with Chair Kevin Warsh scheduled to speak on August 28.
At the time of reporting, Bitcoin price was $78,915.76.
