Hyperliquid (CRYPTO:HYPE) has processed more than US$30 million in Bitcoin (CRYPTO:BTC) sales linked to North Korea’s Lazarus Group.
Blockchain data reviewed by Arkham for CoinDesk shows the wallets sold Bitcoin over the past three weeks.
The wallets used proceeds to buy Ethereum(CRYPTO:ETH) and Solana (CRYPTO:SOL), then moved those assets to Kraken, LBank and KuCoin.
CoinDesk could not confirm who controls the receiving accounts or whether those exchanges knew the funds’ origins.
The activity comes as Donald Trump said CFTC Chairman Mike Selig was working on a path to bring Hyperliquid into the US market.
Hyperliquid has processed more than US$5 trillion in perpetual futures volume and currently has about US$13.3 billion in open interest.
The platform previously faced concerns over North Korean activity, while US regulators have also raised questions about sanctions and money-laundering risks.
