Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has filed to offer single-stock perpetual futures to US traders.

The proposed contracts would initially cover 10 US equities, including Tesla, Nvidia, Apple, Microsoft and Amazon.

“Stock markets close, and the events that move them don’t,” Payward said on X.

Payward is also working towards 24/5 trading, extending access beyond standard stock-market hours.

The company has not provided a launch date, and regulatory approval is required before the proposed contracts can launch in the US.

Payward also plans to offer onchain perpetual futures through Hyperliquid to eligible US clients, subject to regulatory approval.

Kraken already offers crypto perpetual futures to eligible US clients and tokenised-equity perpetual futures to eligible customers outside the US.
