Kraken links to SoFi’s 24/7 dollar settlement network
- Payward will join SoFi’s settlement network and list SoFiUSD on Kraken.
- Kraken institutional clients will gain 24/7 US dollar settlement through the network.
- SoFi will use Kraken Prime for additional digital-asset liquidity and trade execution.
Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has partnered with SoFi Technologies, Inc. to connect banking and digital-asset infrastructure.
Under the deal, Payward will join the SoFi Exchange Network and list SoFiUSD on Kraken, while SoFi will use Kraken Prime.
“Money and markets are converging into a new financial paradigm, and the infrastructure underneath has to catch up,” said Payward Co-CEO David Ripley.
The partnership will allow Kraken institutional clients to move and settle US dollars through SoFi’s network 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
SoFiUSD is a dollar-backed stablecoin issued by SoFi Bank and is redeemable one-to-one for US dollars, according to SoFi.
SoFi said Kraken Prime will provide additional digital-asset liquidity and use smart routing to seek pricing across supported trading venues.
Following the announcement, SoFi Technologies shares closed up 3.76% at US$18.51 on September 3, 2026, although the broader market also rallied that day
