Kraken lands FIFA World Cup 2026 deal
Kraken has been named the official crypto exchange supporter of the FIFA World Cup 2026, securing a presence at the largest football tournament in history as digital asset firms return to major sports sponsorships.
The partnership will see Kraken deliver fan activations and product experiences throughout the competition, which is expected to attract more than 6 billion cumulative viewers across its seven-week schedule.
“This partnership will include fan activations and product experiences throughout the tournament,”
Kraken said.
The 2026 FIFA World Cup will feature 48 teams and 104 matches across 16 host cities in the United States, Mexico and Canada, making it the largest tournament ever staged by FIFA.
The agreement places Kraken alongside global sponsors including Adidas, Coca-Cola, Visa and Hyundai-Kia, while extending the exchange's existing sports marketing portfolio that includes Tottenham Hotspur, Atlético de Madrid, RB Leipzig and Atlassian Williams Racing.
The announcement highlights the gradual return of crypto companies to high-profile sporting events after sponsorship activity slowed following the collapse of FTX and the broader digital asset market downturn in 2022.
The deal also comes as prediction market platforms expand their presence in professional sports through partnerships involving UFC, Major League Soccer and Major League Baseball, reflecting growing competition among digital asset firms seeking mainstream consumer adoption through major sporting events.
