  • Kakaopay Securities and Dinari will explore tokenising Korean-listed equities for international distribution.
  • The companies will test Dinari’s dShares model and establish a joint task force.
  • A separate Ondo Finance MOU also targets global distribution and tokenisation infrastructure.

Kakaopay Securities has partnered with Dinari to explore tokenising Korean-listed equities for international investors.

The companies will build a framework covering equity sourcing, tokenisation and potential global distribution.

“Through this partnership with Dinari, which has experience operating tokenized securities within the U.S. regulatory framework, we are working to develop a concrete framework for the international distribution of Korean equities,” said Inyoung Chung, Executive Vice President of Kakaopay Securities.

The partnership will test Dinari’s dShares model, where each token is backed one-to-one by its underlying security.

Dinari currently provides access to 724 tokenised US stocks and ETFs across more than 85 jurisdictions.

The companies will assess token issuance, redemption, reconciliation and shareholder-rights requirements.

Separately, Kakaopay Securities signed an MOU with Ondo Finance covering Korean equity distribution and tokenisation research.

The partnerships could expand access to Korean equities through tokenised financial infrastructure.
