HYPE has gained 10.5% over 24 hours, reaching its record price as the new borrowing feature went live.
The lending system requires users to provide collateral before borrowing USDC or USDT, with loan terms determined by the platform’s risk parameters.
Hyperliquid has continued expanding beyond perpetual futures by adding lending and other decentralised finance services to its ecosystem.
The new borrowing feature gives HYPE holders another way to use their holdings without selling the token, although borrowing carries liquidation risk.
HYPE’s latest record has come alongside the expansion of Hyperliquid’s lending infrastructure, linking the token with a broader set of DeFi applications.
At the time of reporting, Hyperliquid price was $93.29.
