Hashgraph Group and String Metaverse have launched BillsOnChain on Hedera (CRYPTO:HBAR), a platform that converts paper receipts into tokenised digital assets for storage, verification and tracking on the blockchain.

The platform allows users to upload receipts that become immutable blockchain records and supports NFT minting, VAT automation, audit compliance and invoice verification.

BillsOnChain has already attracted more than 31,000 users with Hedera wallets, processed over 830,000 receipts and minted more than 430,000 NFTs, according to the companies.

The companies said the platform is designed for governments, financial institutions, enterprises and small businesses, helping automate accounts payable and receivable, improve invoice tracking, reduce fraud risks and simplify cross-border settlements.

The launch expands Hedera's enterprise blockchain ecosystem by adding another real-world business application, while no listed company share price reaction applies to the announcement.

Hashgraph Group is a Swiss company focused on Web3 and artificial intelligence solutions, while String Metaverse is India's first publicly listed Web3 infrastructure company.

The launch reflects continued efforts by blockchain developers to apply distributed ledger technology to enterprise document management, financial recordkeeping and business automation.
