Grayscale files Worldcoin ETF as WLD jumps

Share
  • Grayscale has filed for a spot Worldcoin (CRYPTO:WLD) ETF in the US.
  • Worldcoin (CRYPTO:WLD) climbed after the filing became public.
  • The fund still needs approval from the US Securities and Exchange Commission before trading can begin.

Worldcoin (CRYPTO:WLD) gained after Grayscale Investments filed to launch a spot Worldcoin exchange-traded fund in the United States.

The filing expands Grayscale's growing list of single-asset crypto ETF proposals as more asset managers target alternative cryptocurrencies.

If approved, the ETF would let investors gain exposure to Worldcoin without directly buying or storing WLD tokens.

The proposal now enters the US Securities and Exchange Commission review process, and approval is not guaranteed.

Grayscale has recently filed ETF proposals for several digital assets as interest in crypto investment products continues to grow.

Worldcoin is a digital identity project created by Tools for Humanity that combines biometric verification with the WLD token.

At the time of reporting, Worldcoin price was $0.3775.
