  • Grayscale now allows eligible investors to contribute digital assets directly in exchange for shares in selected investment products.
  • The offering covers 10 products, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, XRP and Solana investment vehicles.
  • Investors may gain access to brokerage accounts, collateral use and portfolio management through product shares.

Grayscale has expanded in-kind subscriptions across 10 digital asset investment products, allowing eligible investors to exchange crypto holdings for product shares.

The process lets investors contribute supported digital assets directly instead of selling them for cash before investing in Grayscale products.

“As digital assets mature, investors are seeking more secure and efficient ways to manage their crypto holdings,” Grayscale Head of Index Steve Vanourny said in a statement.

The eligible products include Grayscale’s Bitcoin Mini Trust ETF, Ethereum Staking Mini ETF, XRP Trust ETF and Solana Staking ETF.

“In-kind investing bridges direct crypto ownership and traditional portfolio management, offering access to professionally managed investment products while helping to unlock benefits such as margin and collateral use, estate planning, and broader portfolio flexibility,” Vanourny said.

Investors may hold product shares through brokerage or retirement accounts, while eligible shares may also support collateral arrangements and listed options strategies.

Access requires an authorised participant or another intermediary connected to one, and subscriptions remain subject to product availability, fees and applicable terms.

The expansion creates another route for eligible investors to move digital asset exposure into professionally managed investment products, although fees, custody and execution risks remain.
