Fortitude Mining Holdings has appointed former Hut 8 CEO Jaime Leverton as chief executive from September 21, ahead of its proposed Nasdaq transaction.
The appointment comes as Fortitude prepares to combine with HeartSciences, with the merged company expected to trade under the ticker TUDE on the Nasdaq Capital Market, subject to approval.
“Thrilled to join @FortitudeCrypto as CEO,” said Fortitude CEO Jaime Leverton.
Fortitude operates a Zcash (CRYPTO:ZEC) mining business and reported $20.9 million in revenue for the second quarter of 2026.
Leverton previously served as CEO of Hut 8 and will lead Fortitude as it works towards the proposed Nasdaq transaction, while Andrea Childs will move from CEO to chief operating officer.
Fortitude’s business is focused on Zcash mining, giving the company direct exposure to activity surrounding the privacy-focused cryptocurrency.
The proposed HeartSciences combination remains subject to closing conditions and regulatory approval, meaning the Nasdaq listing has not yet been completed.
At the time of reporting, Zcash price was $1,474.59.
