• Ethereum developers are reviewing 66 proposals for the Hegotá upgrade.
• FOCIL has already been selected as the upgrade’s consensus-layer headliner.
• Developers are also considering account abstraction and privacy-related proposals.

Ethereum (CRYPTO:ETH) developers are reviewing 66 proposals for the Hegotá upgrade, planned for 2026.

The upgrade follows Glamsterdam, which is targeted for 2026 and focuses on Ethereum’s scalability and block-processing design.

Fork-Choice Enforced Inclusion Lists (FOCIL), or EIP-7805, has been selected as Hegotá’s consensus-layer headliner, while Frame Transactions remains under consideration.

The proposals include measures covering censorship resistance, account abstraction, privacy, validator operations and Ethereum’s execution layer.

Hegotá’s final scope has not been set, with developers continuing to assess proposed features before the upgrade enters later development stages.

Ethereum’s roadmap currently places Hegotá after Glamsterdam, with FOCIL and Frame Transactions forming key parts of the upgrade discussions.
